‘Why Titanium?It began with the magic of oil on water as a child! I am sure when I first saw interference colours on titanium I remembered that magic of colour without pigment! It developed because I found the problems of joining a stimulus to ideas. It went further as I delved into hot forming and the fascinating layers of oxide that occur during that process. In the end I found it offered a huge vocabulary of texture and colour that I have only really started to explore in my work!'
